I am so excited to have the opportunity to do this class again but this time in Charlotte!

A lot of my personal art is storytelling and arpilleras to me are extra special in creating a space for Storytelling through textiles. Join me in creating your own Arpillera or story cloth. Arpilleras is a South American folk used to bring women together to create around their grief, sadness, hope, and resiliency during political injustices. This is a hand sewing circle because there are therapeutic qualities in hand sewing vs. Using the machine.

Open to all skills levels, no experience needed.

This is a 4 week commitment and hope to see you there!

I hate to cancel this saturday art class event for families but I think it's for the best. Plus the more people the better. Hoping to reschedule it in February before Feb.28 date if possible. Look out for a new date. Hope your kiddos get a fun natural snow sensory experience! Take out your food coloring and create some magic moments :)

This one is for the kiddos and families!
The bilingual art workshops once a month at Hickory Grove Library is back. The first one is saturday January 31st.

It's a space to create art with your kids and meet other families. Each time we will have a different theme and a sensory station, but the idea is lots of art material options will always be available for youth to do what they want :)

Time: 1-3pm , drop in style, no pressure to get there right at 1pm. (Registration is highly recommended, at times it is first come first serve since it can get full.)

In December I held one of my favorite workshops to give, altered books. Thanks to Obracollective to providing me this opportunity to teach. It was a much needed space for me personally to release and reflect on some emotions. We created altered books, which is taking a recycled hardcover book and transforming its pages onto your own art journal book. We had 2.5 hours of art making that felt like 30 minutes to create, we had time to connect to our inner creative voices, we played with art, we got inspired from each other, and just did what ever we needed for ourselves, and we shared with each other our inner world.

Woohoo! I am excited to announce that I was selected to serve as a Culture Blocks program provider! Administered by the Arts & Science Council in partnership with Mecklenburg County, the Culture Blocks program connects communities with responsive arts, science, and history experiences close to where residents live. All Culture Blocks programs are free, thanks to the generous support of Mecklenburg County. Thank you, ASC, and thank you, Charlotte-Mecklenburg!

I will be providing bilingual (spanish +english) monthly open studio art classes for kids and families at the Hickory Grove public Library. More info to come!

Ofresco terapia enfocada en procesar el trauma o ansiedad por maneras holisticas que nos ayuden a conectarnos con nuestro sentimientos y cuerpo usando el método de arteterapia y brainspotting.
