Hey Roanoke VA and Graham NC - -
Tomorrow, WEDNESDAY Aug 26 is our make-up date for an earlier rainout at Elmwood Park Amphitheater In Roanoke. 5:30 PM!
Thursday the 27th, it's our first time in Graham NC for a 7 PM start. Downtown @ 100 Block of West Elm Street.
Fri & Sat are private.
You can add "I'll Be There" to your personal playlist from Spotify, Amazon, iTunes, YouTube, etc. And of course requests to your DJs and Radio are appreciated as we try to share our music with as many folks as possible.
Last week's 4 shows in Newton, Shallotte, Kings Mtn and Hendersonville were all special in their own way. LOTS of different song selections we haven't played in a while added to the 2MS tunes.

BTW, Melissa Hinson w/OD O.D. Mafia, took this pic AFTER our show at Local on the Water a couple of weeks ago. We were a little sweaty and hot, LOL. Well not hot hot, just temperature hot.

It’s Steve’s (Aug 21st) Birthday Week! Wish him a Happy Birthday as he enters his first year of an “odd-numbered decade!” He kept saying one day, “I’ll Be There”. Hey Steve, welcome to Eddy, Don & Rick’s “club!”
Speaking of I’ll Be There . . . we’ll be here . . .
Thu 20 in Shallotte NC @ Mulberry Park, 7 PM - Great tiered layout for your chairs and a B-I-G dance floor.
Fri 21 we glad to return to King’s Mountain’s opening day of the BeachBlast @ Patriots Park!! DJs, Johnny B & Eric Bowman start @ 5, and we’ll come on @ 6 PM!
Sat 22 is always a perfect Saturday night @ Point Lookout Vineyards in Hendersonville NC, 7PM

We’re gonna miss Kay Measmer, send a prayer out for her husband, Ronnie, the family, and many friends.
And while we’re at let’s drop a prayer for Cousin Myra, too, as she goes through some serious changes.

We heard, "Virginia is for Lovers" and we've enjoyed our short visits there the last 3 weeks . . . but Aug 13, 14 & 15, "We Ain't Leavin the Carolinas!" Kannapolis, NMB & Woodmill Winery.
Since it's early next week, on TUESDAY Aug 18, we'll mention our 7:30 free show for everyone at The Soldiers Reunion in Downtown Newton, NC also.

In addition to some great nights in Mt Airy and Hillsville (!!), we've played some great private parties, anniversaries and birthdays, the past few weeks. It's always special to be invited to play occasions like these.
Jim & Beth's 14th annual party was enhanced by rain!! Didn't matter with all the popup tents, and a totally tented dance floor .. . we were covered by a gigantic balloon and it was our 13th with them. Through the years Jim has introduced us to quite a few folks in VA. (even Norman!) Thanks y'all.
"I'll Be There" was even selected by Gail and Coot for their special 30th Anniversary Dance. BTW, thanks to YOUR requests with the DJ's and Beach Music radio, it's in the Top 10 on most stations and #1 on four of them. Thanks, don't stop!!!
We helped Pam celebrate her birthday with family and friends and learned those gals can line dance to EVERYTHING we play!!! Fun afternoon.
TheBeachMusicCruise.com - - we're happy to be a part of this w/11 other Beach Bands, many single artists, and DJs. If you haven't, check it out. We've heard it's between 60-70% full already.
Bo Schronce is gonna join us onstage this Saturday at Woodmill Winery (come early, all day event!) - - - - the energy level will automatically and dramatically increase!

With all the craziness in this world, here's a thought . . . turn the tv off, call some friends then lay your phone down, jump in the car, go see and hear some live music! (It's better than 4 ibuprofens!) There's more good bands and live music than ever just in the Carolinas and Virginia. Dances, Cruises, After Five's, Wineries, Festivals, Bars, Parties, Concerts . . . it's a great excuse for you to get a friend "outta the house" and see them smile like you do at a show. The sermon is over . . . . . for now!

Friday, July 31, 7:30, we’re @ The Blackmon Amphitheater in Mt Airy NC (IYKYK)! A great venue for years, always a fun evening, and our ONLY public show this week. (Well . . . . . depending on how many folks Jim & Beth have invited on Saturday in VA!!

There’s so much going on . . . . We’re sincerely thankful to be a part of Carolina Beach Music.

PLEASE - - whenever you come to a 2MS show, let us know early or before we start if there’s a particular song of ours that you wanna hear! We don’t write out a “set list”, and move different tunes in and out of shows (especially the shorter after-5 type shows) quite frequently.

AND, Beach Music Radio, the DJs, and everyone playing, listening, and allowing “I’ll Be There” to reach #1 on a few charts and scattered in the Top 10 on a few others . . . . thanks!! Don't stop!

Well, We ARE Leavin' Carolina for this Saturday, to play in Buena Vista VA - - check the poster below.
A Thought - - -
It’s just different playing a slow/smoothie song at the day-time, up-tempo after-fives and outdoor events. Ask any of the bands that you know, and they’ll tell you, there's a difference with the types of applause and reactions between the dance, party, listening, and slow songs. It was interesting as we closed a fairly up-tempo evening and crowd at Sunset Beach, after our 5-night run, with a lot of dancers and folks gathered around the stage, when we realized that because of the up-energy, we hadn’t played our newest song, “I’ll Be There”. So . . . . we asked the Mayor if we could play one more and also asked the folks to get close to the stage and then played the slow/smoothie. The sincere reaction to “I’ll Be There” created a few cold chills on a warm night. We all just kind of looked at each other. Bands and singers KNOW this feeling that we all constantly strive for with our audiences. THANK Y’ALL for sharing that "feeling" with us. (It didn't hurt that the sun had gone down and Mercury in retrograde was winding down!)
