I'm thinking about what it may look like to take field notes for thirty years.

Reading tonight about William Sisson, our guest writer and speaker on Sat., October 14. Apparently he wrote notebooks full of observations on his days, hours pursuing the 'linesider'-- our striper, here, in abundant waters. This photo is not of Bill's notes but I imagined it could be.

From these notebooks, emerges a book.

I suppose it starts out this way. Makes me want to get out mine.

This is an excellent and well researched article on what's going on with the striped bass season. We are looking forward to discussing this and more with Anglers Journal editor and writer William Sisson on October 14 at 2 p.m.

Kevin McCloskey's carved whales will also be on view this Thursday evening at BoP Reading Room.

This wonderful example of native Rhode Island (South County) art is a sight to behold (and in some cases, to touch/please ask first).

They are designed and built to 'swim' on their pedestals. Please join us this Thursday, August 3, 5-7 p.m. at 289 Narrow Lane. Wine + Cheese.

Artist will be on hand to discuss his process and his most recent awesome find on our beaches. Stay tuned. Kevin isn't sure yet how he will transform his found treasure into his singular art with his gorgeous eye. All we can say is that it was evidence that he is meant to be creating these homages to the sea...and Herman Melville, arguably one of this country's finest 19th century writers.
