Looking to take on some guitar students. $100 a month. That’s only $25 per lesson.
I’ve been playing 50+ years.
Message me if you’re interested.

The barbershop chorus I was a member of has officially closed down and disbanded. This was the main reason for this page. I stopped other services a while back. I am currently working up a solo program with my guitar in order to promote PTSD and how music can be a good therapy to aid in calming and soothing anger and depression. As a result, I will be shutting down and deleting this page at the end of March. If you have not already done so, please go to Reggie Barnes the Carolina Guitar Man and like that one. That is where all the current happenings and videos will be from now on.
Thank you for supporting this page. See you on my guitar man page.

It is with deep sadness and broken hearts that the CHARLESTON BARBERSHOP CHORUS announces the passing of long time member, Bill Gowder.
Bill has been affiliated with the chorus since the 1970s all the while singing lead. He will be greatly missed by all of us in the chorus.
His chair may be empty, but he is forever in our hearts. Rest In Peace and harmony dear friend.

Last night I lost a piece of my heart. Bob Newton, founding member of The Original Loafers, and The Gospelaires of Charleston, after a hard battle with cancer left this earth for his home in Glory.
Bob was a friend , mentor and father figure to me for nearly 50 years. We have traveled thousands of miles together on the road ministering to and performing for tens of thousands of people over the years. He gave me my first chance to be a professional musician, my first opportunity to travel extensively through out the Southeast . We met and performed with many Gospel music legends. Legends like The Cathedrals, Blue Ridge Quartet, Palmetto Statesmen, LaVerne Tripp, The Kingsmen, Dottie Rambo, Rex Nelon and The Hopper Brothers and Connie just to name a few. Last week Bob even got the opportunity to speak by phone to Kelley Nelon Clark when they were in town for a concert at the CSU Lightsey Chapel. So glad I was able to arrange for this to happen.
I will miss Bob. But it's not goodbye, just see you later as we will all be reunited one day. And we will sing and play once again in GOD'S HEAVENLY LAND.
Much love and prayers to his family. LOVE YA BOB.
