“Lovers by Makoran Beach” by Iranian-based artist Homayoon Hayati.

A selection of Hayati’s work will be featured in a one-time exhibition, “Voices from the Middle East,” opening Friday, October 2, at the George Gallery and Peter Anthony Fine Art

“Voices from the Middle East” brings together artists currently living and working in the Middle East whose ability to exhibit and promote their work internationally has been limited by ongoing political conflict. Many of these artists have little or no access to the internet, international galleries, or the global art market.

This exhibition offers an opportunity to bring their work into conversation with audiences beyond their immediate communities and to share their perspectives, experiences, and artistic practices with a wider audience.

Join us Friday, October 2, for the opening of “Voices from the Middle East.”

The George Gallery and Peter Anthony Fine Art Presents: “Voices from the Middle East”

The George Gallery and Peter Anthony Fine Art will join for a one-time exhibition in partnership with PARISA Projects, a California-based nonprofit dedicated to
supporting artists living in the Middle East, primarily Iran, who are isolated from the international art
world.

Founded seven years ago by Parisa Majidy, PARISA Projects grew from a personal passion for art
collecting contemporary art to a dedicated cultural mission: bring depth, beauty, and complex narratives
of the Middle Eastern contemporary art audiences to the United States and beyond. More than simply
exhibiting artwork, the organization fosters genuine human connection by helping viewers understand
the personal histories, quiet resilience, and artistic brilliance emerging from a region that is too often
viewed solely through the lens of political conflict.

The opening reception will be presented simultaneously at both galleries on Friday, October 2 from 5-7PM. The George Gallery is located at 54 Broad Street and Peter Anthony Fine Art at 15 Broad Street.
