Looking for a creative and educational summer experience for ages 10–13? Join us at the Gibbes Museum on June 17 for a special hands-on Introduction to Gilding workshop led by the Society of Gilders.⁣

Participants will:⁣
🎨 Learn the fascinating history of gilding⁣
⭐️ Create TWO shimmering take-home projects using kid-friendly materials⁣
🏛️ Enjoy a guided museum tour highlighting the beautiful, gilded frames in the Gibbes collection⁣

Celebrate the life, art, and legacy of Claude Monet 100 years after his passing. Monet & Mimosas is a special series that pairs sparkling refreshments with an inspiring look at Impression, Monet. ⁣

You will enjoy mimosas in the Campbell Rotunda before exploring Monet’s enduring influence on modern art and American artists through a guided exhibition tour.⁣

We are honored to participate in this free admission program for active-duty military personnel and their families from Armed Forces Day (May 16, 2026) through Labor Day (September 7, 2026).

Blue Star Museums is a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families, in collaboration with the Department of Defense and museums across America, offering free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve.

We thank our military families for their service and look forward to welcoming you to the museum this summer.
