I Love The Will

I Love The Will The goal of Will Rogers Theatre Project, an IL NFP corp., is to purchase, rehabilitate, restore, & o "I love the Will" — because we all love the Will.

When we began this work we knew we had to express the importance of the Will Rogers Theater to its home, Charleston. More than that though it was important to connect with the people who loved the Will in its heyday and, in fact, still do. The Will is like a beloved family member a little down on its luck. We're willing to look past the current flaws because we know what it once was, and we have f

aith that it can be great again. Thank you for helping us help the Will. We can't wait to welcome you back to a Will Rogers Theater that Will himself would be proud of and that you can be proud of too. Board of Directors, Will Rogers Theater Project

This is the sort of thing that should have been happening at the Will by now. The East Central Illinois Film Festival has a nice ring to it. Why can't this happen?

This is one of many examples of the kind of things our board members are good at. This production is directed by board member David Stevens. We're still trying to get the former owner, who outbid us at the auction, and who indicated a willingness to work with us, to sit down and discuss options for a partnership.

Congratulations to our cast! Production dates are March 31& April 1, 2, 6, 7, 8 at Charleston Elks Lodge.

CHARLESTON -- The Will Rogers will be back in the hands of one of the previous owners of the Will Rogers Theatre, Katie Troccoli, as a result of the judicial

10/28/2016

The judicial sale of the Will took place today, and on your behalf we bid every dollar we could raise, beg, or borrow, $95,200.00. Unfortunately the current owner, who was not on the mortgage but for some unknown reason was on the deed, outbid us and bought the building for $95,300.00. As the five members of the Board of Directors who attended the sale were leaving the courtroom she approached us and offered to cooperate with us in restoring the Will, so all is not lost. We will see what she has in mind and make a decision with the best interests of the citizens of Coles County and our many contributors in mind. Thank you all so much for your continued support! We will keep you informed as to future plans for the Will.
