INTRODUCING OUR NEXT COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: HICKS
“My art comes from the heart and the mind. My art deals with my personal life experiences. I think about life a lot when I paint and I allow life to inspire me. As long as I am alive I will be motivated and inspired by the black people who came before me. Most of my art represents my blackness. I take pride in being black.” - .hicks

INTRODUCING OUR NEXT COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: DESMOND MORRISON

“My artwork can best describe thoughts and emotions of a lucid dream about the environment I inhabit, the people I interact with, and how I view myself in that narrative. All while adding colorful and eccentric messages of my desires." - Desmond Morrison

You can view his work further on the Community Spotlight page of our website! Link in bio.

WE ARE GOING DIGITAL
That's right! In light of the unpredictable future ahead of us and the reccomendations by CDC and SCDHEC we will be having a virtual gallery available for Liberation!
But what does a virtual gallery mean?
We will have a walk-through tour (akin to what you see in Google Maps' streetview or an apartment tour) of the art on display with some recorded performances and films thumbnailed on our website! This webpage will be available starting April 11th.
Additionally, we ask that you donate whatever you are able to at the donate button that will accompany the virtual tour.
Thank you for continuing to support your local artists and organisations during , we really can't do this without you.

We at Green Haus are keeping an eye on COVID-19 updates and following recommendations from public health organizations (DHEC, CDC, and WHO) when it comes to our April programming. As of now, we will still be having our April 10th show at Redux with the art submission date on the 27th of March. In place of taking art submissions in person, we will be taking digital submissions to our email address [email protected]. A detailed post will follow shortly.
