In the quiet of nature & color I sit with my finished canvas. It is so satisfying completing paintings & seeing them tucked into their pretty frames. Four of my latest paintings are now available on my website:

A reflection of my life & story.

It could be anywhere but mostly I paint barefoot in grass with only the birds & breeze. It is one form of heaven on earth to me, and I hope it comes through my artwork.

Have you ever heard the same thing several times in a short time span & realized it was a message being delivered?

After several people shared across a few days that Piccolo Spoleto was accepting submissions from SC artists for its juried art show, I realized it was quite possibly something trying to get my attention. But, the deadline was in 4 weeks! They had to be painted, then photographed & framed. I thought “I’ll do it next year”. I nonchalantly mentioned this to my sweetheart who calmly said “yes. You are”.

I had no idea if this could actually happen but immediately knew the subject matter. I’ve painted so many camellias on glass ornaments but not on canvas. As I began painting my heart sang, And then I painted as though I was possessed, however happily.

I picked four paintings & my amazing framer made the magic happen. In the nick of time, they were submitted.

Every SC artist who submitted their artwork learns by the end of this week whether it is accepted or rejected. No matter the outcome, it was exciting to enter my very first collection to an art show. Here is a small glimpse of one but I’ll share them here this week. Stay tuned…and maybe say a prayer.♥️
