Art In Motion Dance Academy Come Dance With Us! We have all styles for all ages! Our dance philosophy is described by three words LOVE, LEARNING, AND TECHNIQUE.

It is our belief that the love of the art of dance is very important and necessary to persevere with the practice and time it takes to become skilled in this art. Long hours of practice and determination are required in order to become proficient in dance. Knowledge of dance terminology is required in order to know what your dance instructor or show choreographer is asking you to execute. Ballet terms are in French, and it is necessary to learn and have a working knowledge of these terms; other dance disciplines have terms that are in spoken language of the area in which dance is being taught. How to execute the various steps that make up the different forms of dance is the “technique”. It is necessary to know and understand the technique of various dance disciplines and dance styles in order to participate in community theatre, college theatre, or the professional world of dance. It is our hope that students who take dance class with Art IN Motion will have a love of dance, become aware and learn the necessary dance terms, and have a knowledge and can execute the technique and of the various dance disciplines that they choose to learn.
