No Doubt guitarist Tom Dumont is sharing a health update with fans.

On Saturday (April 11), Dumont posted a video revealing that he has been diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s disease.

ā€œIt’s been a struggle,ā€ he said. ā€œThe good news is I can still play music, I can still play guitar.ā€

I met Rev. Jim Lewis in 2004 at a WV Patriots for Peace vigil. In 2006, I served on the board with him. He was a dictator that loved getting arrested and having his name appear in the paper. By 2007, several board members got really angry due to nothing getting accomplished at meetings thanks to Lewis and Paul Sheriden. Lewis reiterated White House talking points on the war so we wouldn't offend anyone. By 2008, as the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan raged on, Lewis pushed people to simply build paper peace cranes as a form of activism. If you said anything about it he got really pissy. When people on all sides of a needless war are dying you don't instruct people to go home, you tell them to amp their presence up on the streets and cause a commotion. The anti-war movement in Charleston was a heavily censored partisan s**t show. Many of the people involved in WV Patriots for Peace would go on to volunteer on warmonger and torture advocate Barack Obama's presidential campaign, not once but twice. By the end of my involvement in 2009, due to there being so many Democratic Party figures involved in the anti-war movement, I gathered it was nothing but a series of PR stunts to smear then-president George W. Bush and the GOP, even though many congressional Democrats kept voting to fund the wars and former House speaker Nancy Pelosi refused to have Bush impeached during his final two-years in office. If Bush had been impeached maybe Congress would have moved to revamp the War Powers Act and the war with Iran could have been averted. It's not over that's for sure. The No Kings rallies remind me of the anti-war movement, all show, no teeth, and backed by the Democratic Party, which Lewis was involved in.

Jim Lewis was great PR for a lot of bad "Progressive" activist organizations, sketchy charities, and politicians in West Virginia. The last seven years he gave me nothing but dirty looks for calling out his buddies in "activism". I didn't particularly view Jim Lewis as an activist. I saw him as a hindrance to change and a perfect reason as to why the faith community should not be involved in politics and government affairs. Street theater and sit-ins may get one arrested and on the news, but unless hardcore organizing is going on around x-cause nothing gets accomplished!

Here is the "peace advocate" posing with warhawk national council member Rabbi Victor Urecki in 2019. Take from this what you want. I'm not rejoicing in Jim Lewis's death; I'm simply questioning the man's life. I have that right. May he rest in peace!

U.S. Senate candidates you should avoid on the ballot: Jeff Kessler and Zach Shrewbury. A vote for them is a vote for the establishment.

Since the South Charleston marketplace Kroger is located over a former flyash pond, if a water pipe bursts there does that toxic sediment get into the water system?

The WV AFL-CIO's PAC endorsed Jeff Kessler for U.S. Senate. The same Jeff Kessler that refused to run the Underground Coal Slurry Injection Ban bill in 2012 without additional tax write-offs for the coal industry. The same Jeff Kessler that repeatedly voted against choice. Labor and the actorvist world seem to love getting played. I don't!

So, apparently the Mothman in the Bible Belt Podcast and this page is a proxy for something or someone... again. A decade ago, West Virginia Democratic Party worker bee, Susan Miley (former delegate Tim Miley's wife), accused me of working for Don Blankenship 🤣. This was back when the page was a West Virginia political satire page... I gather that keeping s**tty activists and dirty politicians honest induces delusions in the conspiracy theorist weirdos tonging these jokes asses.

If you don't like being held accountable for lifes little f**k ups, you're not going to go far in this state. West Virginians are fed up with these grifters. The "Progressive" activists barely organize around their causes, rub elbows with religious extremists, and since 2013, have formed one PAC and 501c4 after the next endorsing candidates that šŸ’© on their causes. Seriously, stop blowing money on these folks. Invest in high quality candidates that care about combating socioeconomic inequality, job creation, and protecting the environment that reject all forms of corporate money (business, corporate PAC, attorneys), and aren't endorsed by Mountain Mamas, WV FREE Action, WV Can't Wait, WV Working Families Party, and the Chamber. Even better, invest your money in charities helping poor folks out with utility and rental assistance and food, and make sure to specify you want it spent on that or it will go to the admin's salary.

For transparency purposes, I was a former activist involved in the "Progressive" world in Charleston that got fed up watching these actorvists work against their own interests, making fence-sitting, do-nothing policymakers out to be hot s**t somebodies year in, year out. After 8 years, I had enough and I'm not the only one. I'm just the most vocal. And if you regularly view this page's content you should know by now this is not a conservative or liberal page. I pledge zero allegiance to any political party, flag, musician, religion, American Idol winner, or politician.

Yours in accountability,

XXOO, Buck Fantastic

I also wouldn't vote for anyone endorsed by Mountain Mamas. When they were created they stated their candidates supported abortion rights. Most voted against it. Crickets from Mountain Mamas. Now their platform is even vaguer with "forward thinking". I want to see more women in public office like everyone else but if they aren't committed to reproductive rights, equal pay, mandatory paid maternity/paternity leave, stopping the government from bombing innocent women and children, and living wages so women can afford to take care of their children, what's the point? Noone should vote for anyone simply because they are a historically oppressed minority or make assumptions based on that. See gay Republican Josh Higginbotham who voted against choice, the environment, teachers, and unions.

All activist 501c4s and PACs need to clearly define what constitutes corporate money/cash, Progressive, forward thinking, "pro-environment", feminist, and pro-labor since most West Virginia unions aren't "pro-labor" judging by their PACs f**ked up endorsements. Clarity is needed to justify endorsements. I wouldn't vote for anyone endorsed by WVFREE Action either. WVFREE took Doug Skaff money while passing him off as pro-choice. His voting record was predominantly anti-choice. When Skaff last ran for public office before croking, his campaign literature stated he was pro-life and boasted a West Virginians for Life endorsement. WVFREE Action refused to endorse pro-choice Charlotte Pritt when she ran for governor in 2016. Instead they told their members Jim Justice was pro-choice and he repeatedly signed one anti-choice bill after the next resulting in women being unable to terminate their pregnancies except for under the most dire circumstances.

Accountability is needed so that these organizations point out and publicly denounce candidates that backtrack on campaign promises and the organizations platform. I don't think this will happen in West Virginia with so many "Progressive" and liberal activist organizations taking money from politicians and slobbering over the Democratic Party and Religious Right, but one can hope.

I wouldn't vote for anyone endorsed by WV Can't Wait or WV Working Families Party. They rarely hold their candidates to their platform. Give to candidates, not them.
