On October 2nd join Ugandan musician Chinobay on a journey of music and storytelling through the villages and cities of Africa and the world beyond.

This performance, held at Pumzi's, weaves original compositions with traditional songs featuring traditional East African instruments including the adungu (Ugandan harp), kalimba, and endongo as well as those from other parts of the continent.

Pumzi’s 2nd anniversary show with Slow Teeth (NC) and Two Roommates was really fun! A heartfelt thanks to Rafael Barker for connecting me with Slow Teeth! Big thanks to Brandon Mouser and Charleston Tacos for the tasty grub! 🌮 We had a small, but enthusiastic crowd! And I can’t thank you enough for showing up to support the beginning of our 3rd year of offering live music.

A heartfelt thanks to the Spurgie Hankins Band and The Carpenter Ants for playing lights out last night! It was so wonderful to hear Spurgie sing again after a well deserved hiatus! Both bands sounded grounded in the moment, and we the listeners were treated to something sweet and memorable. 💜
