Threshold Repertory Theatre strives to strengthen our understanding of ourselves and of others by engaging audiences with issues, ideas, and stories. We are devoted to encouraging a unified community and increas

ing the livelihood of the Arts in Charleston. Threshold Repertory Theatre was founded in 2010 by Artistic Director, Pamela Galle. TRT established its home at 84 1/2 Society Street during it’s second season in 2011. Located in a prime area between residential downtown properties and thriving downtown shops, 84 1/2 Society Street makes a great location for most residents and tourist a like. With a reasonably priced outdoor parking lot located behind the theater, access to the location is easy for all attenders. The 99 seat black box theater makes a theatrical experience come to life and give audiences the impression that they are part of the show. Threshold Repertory Theatre provides high caliber live theatre to the Lowcountry. We showcase 4-5 main stage shows a year. Our auditions are open to the public and are paid positions for shows other than workshops. We plan 4 luncheons a year to allow audiences a unique one on one experience with local directors, playwrights, and actors. With a convenient location in downtown Charleston, TRT rents our space to other producers and production companies. Our box office is staffed by volunteers and is stocked with concessions ranging from soda, wine and beer to chips and hershey’s chocolate. Our organization is in the beginning stages of development and understands our potential. Our future service offerings will reflect our dedication to community involvement and we will take advantage of partnerships within the local business community. Where: Threshold Theatre, 84.5 Society Street, Charleston, SC

Performance Dates: April 27 through May 14 (Thursdays-Sundays)

Synopsis: Without Shakespeare, we wouldn’t have literary masterpieces like Romeo and Juliet. But without Henry Condell and John Heminges, we would have lost half of Shakespeare’s plays forever! After the death of their friend and mentor, the two actors are determined to compile the First Folio and preserve the words that shaped their lives. They’ll just have to beg, borrow, and band together to get it done. Amidst the noise and color of Elizabethan London, The Book of Will finds an unforgettable true story of love, loss, and laughter, and sheds new light on a man you may think you know.
Cast: Threshold Theatre will practice open casting, which includes race conscious, gender conscious, gender identification conscious, age conscious, and accessibility conscious casting where appropriate. There will be doubling and tripling for some actors. The cast will number 10-12 members.
You may bring a prepared monologue if you like, but it is not required, and readings from the script will be provided.
Please bring a resume and headshot if you have them, but we will be prepared to take photos of those who do not have a headshot.

We hope to see you soon!
