How it feels stepping into my art with both feet 🌈 I am officially taking on more structure and time for A LITTLE SQUID. This means I am stepping away from teaching yoga, which is bittersweet.

I have taught yoga since the day I got back from my training in 2015. Before yoga, I taught dance. I’ve always guided movement and seen it as my full identity. When 2020 came around, the world shifted, my life changed and I had to reroute. I fell into my art, and I slowly brought that piece of me back to life. I finally feel strong enough to step with both feet into my art. This doesn’t mean I’ll never do yoga again, but I know with my attention focused on building A LITTLE SQUID and spending more time growing as an artist, I will feel the most like me. I’ll have more space in my heart and brain for yoga. I’ll have more ease around growing my business. It’s going to be beautiful, it already is.

My last class will be Tuesday, one week from today, at nexton - 8:00am fast and hot, 9:15 slow and comfortable. I’d love to see you there and move with ya ❤️

Hi 👋🏼 I’m Kelcey. I recently did an interview with and realized how much I don’t share anything personal on this side of instagram. So, if you want to get to know me a little more..

🍄 I live in a town right outside of Charleston called Summerville. Summerville has grown on me but I really hope to move a little closer to the beach and city one day.
🌾 I was born in NJ, grew up in NC, moved to Washington State, then back to the east coast to Charleston, SC. I had never been to Charleston until the day I moved in, I just knew I’d love it here.
🫶🏼 my son is going to turn 4 this month and I’m in constant shock of how fast it’s all going. He’s really hilarious and is the greatest part of my whole life.
🧘🏻‍♀️ in addition to art, I teach (and love) yoga. I’ve recently had a lot of ups and downs with it recently, reminding me of my personal practice and how important doing yoga in a way that feels good to me is
✨ my favorite foods are salt and vinegar chips, white cheddar popcorn, string cheese and gummy bears. Yes. I have the food preferences of an out of control 10 year old - workin on it 🥲
🌼 I love being outside, walking, staying active - I can’t really sit still unless I’m drawing or painting
🌜my mom is from Germany and I have a big connection to my German roots. If I had to live somewhere other than Charleston, I’d choose to live in Germany for sure. I can speak German but I’m shy about it 🙈 one of my goals for the new year is to embrace the language more and lean into my German side as much as I can.
