One random Tuesday a few years ago, the invited a group of local musicians out to Mosquito Beach to collaborate in an impromptu family jam session. Throughout the night, friends and strangers gathered inside the blue building at the end, now known as the “TreeNTea Bey," organically exploring original and creative musical jams.

Starting out as a causal night of meeting new people and sharing music and food, everyone quickly began to realize that something bigger than any individual was on the horizon... something great.

Over the years, the word spread throughout the local music community, and these Tuesday hang out jam sessions grew popularity and ended up sparking the flame for the for first ideas behind Charleston’s newest and most-loved Tuesday concert series, Mosquito Beach Sunset Jamz.

In an effort to return to our roots, for the remainder of August we plan to bring back the collaborative jam sessions - LIVE - ON STAGE - at Mosquito Beach. All local & regional performing artists are welcome to bring their gear (instruments, cables & amps), and sit-in on jams, create together.

Thank you to all of our local musicians, friends, and volunteers who have contributed their love, their time, and their energy. Thank you for fueling our cause and BEING the inspiration that has helped support and create Mosquito Beach Sunset Jamz!

Mosquito Beach Sunset Jamz is not only an awesome concert with a stunning sunset view, it’s a fun way for friends to be interactive with unfamiliar faces, while also offering an educational experience for all ages. Come out and have fun with us on Tuesdays, make some new friends, enjoy some live music, eat some delicious food, all while supporting the local community, Quaponda Tribe, and the GCVB!

The Gullah Convention and Visitors Bureau, also known as the GCVB, was created by The Quaponda Tribe in an effort to bring members of the multicultural community together. We hope to teach our children the significance of the tribe’s history in the Lowcountry. Regardless of ethnicity, color, or religion, we aim to become one body, appreciate our elders, preserve our land, and find commonalities in music, creativity, education, and family fun. Become a member today, join the cause, spread love. See you all on Tuesdays very soon!!

Directly help support our local musicians this week by donating to our Music Fund! THANK YOU ALL for your continued support and contributions to our cause. The GCVB, Quaponda Tribe, and Paul’s Pro Sound greatly appreciate all of your love and efforts!
