Why is everyone so crazy about Hobonichi?
The paper is incredible. Hobonichi uses ultra-thin, smooth Tomoe River paper that handles fountain pens beautifully while keeping the planner surprisingly slim.

A big Hobonichi update for all y’all! 🫶🏼

Hello Hobonichi lovers! An update from The Paper Canopy. ✏️

We are so excited to offer Hobonichi this year! The planners are en route to Charleston, however their ETA is end of day September 1. We are going to offer the planners our local customers first, and then sell online starting September 3rd. You are 2 choices! Stop in on September 1 (we’ll be open until 6 that day!) and purchase your Hobonichi for later pick up. OR stop in on September 2nd to browse the products (hopefully - we are all in DHL’s hands now.) On September 3rd, all remaining Hobonichis will be live on our website for purchase.

Of course, we’re sad not to have these in store by September 1, but that’s the way this cookie 🍪 crumbled. However! They are on the way and we’re planning a Hobonichi / planner meet up for everyone to hang out and share tips. Stay tuned!

Hello Hobonichi 👋🏻 That’s right! We will have Hobonichi（ほぼ日） in the house for purchase on Tuesday, September 1.

If you are a planner person or already in love with Hobonichi, shop in store starting at 11AM or check the website at 6 PM that evening for our selection of planners.

Designs and colors are kept close to the chest, but I’ll release more details about the day soon!

Wrapped up our third year with tearful look back at shop’s first day.

I remember being so nervous no one would show up that first Saturday. (Besides my sweet family and friends that helped open the doors!) But you DID show up and you’ve been showing up ever since! 🩷

The Paper Canopy is a retail shop, but I’m sure many of you can relate to putting your heart out there for people to love or hate or have no interest in. So much love and hope poured into 600 square feet.

Luckily, for me, there seems to be a common thread between what I love and what you love! I’m so grateful to be here and a part of your giftgiving and Saturday walks through downtown Charleston and hunt for the perfect card and all your analog adventures. 🩵
