Want to expose your homeschooler to a wide variety of art media without figuring out where to store a whole studio’s worth of supplies at home—or teaching yourself how to use each one?

Our Homeschool art classes (either Tuesday or Thursday afternoons at 2pm) give students the chance to explore different materials and techniques with instruction and everything they need right here at the studio. Students work on the age-appropriate curriculum for their level in a mixed-age setting. Or sign up to have class with same age peers in the afternoons or on Saturday.

How many shapes can you find in one painting?

Shapes are flat areas enclosed by lines or changes in color. Some are geometric, like circles and triangles, while others are organic and irregular. Kandinsky combined overlapping shapes, lines, and colors to create a painting that feels active and expressive, even though it does not show a scene realistically.

Understanding shape helps students draw, design, organize compositions, and communicate ideas. It is one part of the comprehensive curriculum taught in our weekly art classes.
