I love participating in the Society of American Mosaics Artists annual 100 Moments in Mosaic! Such beauty in small packages! Here’s a link to my piece as well as the larger online gallery!

At the center of the mosaic blooms a brilliant red hibiscus, its wide petals created from hand-cut pieces of orange and crimson glass, each shard catching light at a different angle. Subtle gradients of orange, red, and deep scarlet give the petals depth and movement, as if swaying in a warm Caribbe...

Readying my latest piece to ship to SAMA (Society of American Mosaic Artists) 100 Moments in Mosaic 2025! So happy to be participating in this for my third time! Stained glass, glass beads, metal beads and thinset with colorants. Wire for the filament and glass beads for the anther! So fun to imagine a flower into a glass vision! Green parrot is indigenous to Puerto Rico and critically endangered. Hibiscus is common across the island. I love sharing my love for Puerto Rico!! Tropical flowers and birds!! Thanks to Atelier del Mosaico de Puerto Rico and Luis Alberto Rivera for awakening this art in me!!
