Every artist on our 25th anniversary bill has played this stage before. Every one but one. She won the same award seven times. The instrument she plays has never sounded quite like it does in her hands. We've been wanting to get her here for a long time. She's opening our 25th anniversary season.

One of the artists on our 25th anniversary bill first played this stage in March of 2003. He's won seven Grammy Awards since then. And a MacArthur Fellowship. He plays an instrument you wouldn't expect to headline a concert, and this time, he's bringing his son.

One of the groups on our 25th anniversary bill is celebrating their own milestone this season. Thirty years. We last had them on this stage February 12, 2012. Thirty years for them. Twenty-five for us. It was time.

The second show in Community Church Concerts history took place on May 8, 2001. An audience that walked out having heard acoustic strings do things they didn't know acoustic strings could do. One of the artists on that bill now lives in Germany. He's making the trip back for our 25th anniversary. That tells you something.

Eleven years ago this month — May 1, 2015 — The Duhks played Community Church Concerts.

We recently reached out to artists who have graced this stage over CCC's 25 years and asked if they'd send a short hello for our anniversary season. Leonard Podolak, founder of the beloved Canadian folk-fusion band, sent us a minute-long video.

First in a series. More coming soon.

Our 25th anniversary season announcement is coming June 5. Between now and then, a few clues. One group on our 25th anniversary lineup played the very first show in Community Church Concerts history. Twenty-five years later, they're still the ones we call.

Over the course of their spring tour, The Travelin' McCourys had an open call for young pickers to join them as the "Young Guns,” led by curator Heaven McCoury.

After over 10 dates and about a dozen players, DelFest is proud to present the Young Guns! Catch them on the Grandstand Stage Thursday and across the festival grounds all weekend long.

The McCoury boys don't smile like that for just anything.

For a band famous for jamming, we made them a cupcake with actual jam — the "Spring Jam," with fresh North Carolina strawberries and almond mascarpone frosting. Apparently it passed the test. 🍓

Thanks to the whole band for a perfect season finale. What a night.
