To celebrate our 25th anniversary season, we're inviting concertgoers to build their ultimate band from the incredible musicians who've graced the Community Church Concerts stage over the past 25 years!

We're debuting our BUILD YOUR BAND ballots at Friday's sold-out Sierra Hull show. Pick your favorite musicians, choose an opening act, and drop your ballot in the basket!

We'll display your dream bands at the concerts and feature some of our favorite combinations on Facebook throughout the season.

🧁 THE CUPCAKE REVEAL! 🧁

Introducing The Byrdstown Belle, our signature cupcake for Sierra Hull's sold-out show this Friday!

A little Byrdie told us that when Sierra's home from the road, she likes to bake peanut butter cupcakes with chocolate chips. So we took a little inspiration from her kitchen for our own creation: chocolate cake, peanut butter buttercream, and a generous Reese's peanut butter cup garnish!

For 25 years, homemade treats have been part of the magic at Community Church Concerts. Today, our wonderful baker Tina creates a one-of-a-kind cupcake for each visiting artist, made with love and enjoyed by musicians, volunteers, and audiences alike.

One night only! Join us after Friday's show for cupcakes, artist merch, and a little celebration of 25 years of music at CCC.

It's the Hull thing! 😉

Yesterday we told you Tony Rice played the Community Church Coffeehouse on September 13, 2003. Today, check out this killer show.

This is the original Tony Rice Unit quartet — Wyatt Rice on guitar, Rickie Simpkins on mandolin, Bryn Bright on bass — recorded start to finish by a fan in the room, and it's a clean one. Eighteen songs, from "Stoney Lonesome" to "Billy in the Low Ground," and Tony is on fire the whole way through.

Tony Rice played our stage 19 years ago *today*, on September 14, 2007, and also on September 13, 2003. That's 23 years ago *yesterday* for anyone keeping score at home. He played here six times total between 2003 and 2012, second only to the Kruger Brothers in our 25 years.

He said one of the things he liked about the Community Church Coffeehouse: he could drive down, play, and be back in his own bed that night. No bag to pack, no hotel, no week on the road.

The Henhouse Prowlers sent us this anniversary greeting from what appears to be a considerably fancier backstage than ours. 😄

The Prowlers have joined us twice at Community Church Concerts — January 2022 and February 2025 — and we've always felt a special kinship with this band.

For years, they've traveled the world as Bluegrass Ambassadors, using a distinctly American music to find common ground across cultures — learning songs, sharing stages, building friendships with musicians and communities everywhere they go. It's a pretty wonderful expression of what we mean by 'Where Music Lights the Way.'

So hearing them call CCC "one of our very favorite places to play" means an awful lot to us.

Thanks for the anniversary wishes, Henhouse Prowlers. We can't wait to have you back, either.
