Chanute Rodeo Queen, Izzy Martinez and Princess Creed Haarhuis were on hand this evening with their Johnson County 4H Horse Club to raise money for their club at Culver’s in Gardner, Kansas.

Joined by other club members and royalty, the group served as the evening's official welcome committee and door greeters. Thanks to their hard work and the community's support, it was a highly successful event that raised almost $700 for the club!

2027 Chanute Rodeo Princess - Creed Haarhuis

Hello, everyone! Thank you all for such an amazing weekend and pageant! From the very moment I arrived, I met so many wonderful people and felt incredibly welcomed. I am so honored and excited to step into my role representing the Chanute Rodeo Royalty as your 2027 Chanute Rodeo Princess. My goal is to be a wonderful role model for others, just like the amazing titleholders who came before me and helped me so much throughout this past weekend.
I am 14 years old, the youngest of five siblings, and a proud aunt to two awesome nephews. When I'm not in the saddle, I am an eighth grader at Prince of Peace Catholic School. I am also blessed to have three incredible horses that keep me busy.
There is Cardi, my 6-year-old ranch show horse; Ox, my 5-year-old reining horse who will be my next-step show horse; and Lucky, my 7-year-old 4-H rodeo horse.
Horses are a massive part of my life, and I currently serve as the treasurer for the Johnson County 4-H Horse Club. When I am not riding or working with my horses, you can usually find me spending quality time making memories with my crazy, wonderful family and friends. I can't wait for an incredible year ahead on the rodeo trail, and I look forward to seeing you all at the arena!

🤠👑 THANK YOU TO OUR INCREDIBLE SPONSORS! 👑🤠

As we wrap up another wonderful Chanute Rodeo Royalty Pageant, we want to take a moment to recognize the businesses, organizations, and individuals who helped make it all possible.

To each and every one of our sponsors, THANK YOU!❤️

Your generosity and support allowed us to provide an unforgettable experience for our contestants and helped us continue building a program that encourages young ladies to grow in confidence, leadership, horsemanship, sportsmanship, and a love for the western way of life.

Whether you donated an award, sponsored a portion of the pageant, contributed financially, provided a service, or simply stepped up when we needed a helping hand, please know that your support did not go unnoticed.

Programs like the Chanute Rodeo Royalty Program would not be possible without a community that believes in our contestants and in keeping the traditions of rodeo alive for the next generation.

We are incredibly grateful to have so many wonderful people and businesses standing behind our program, our contestants, and the sport of rodeo.

From all of us at the Chanute Rodeo Royalty Program, thank you for helping make this year's pageant so special. We are proud to have you as part of our rodeo family! 🤍👑🐴

Please help us show our sponsors some love and support the businesses that support our rodeo royalty!

With gratitude,
Chanute Rodeo Royalty Program
Keeping western traditions alive, one generation at a time.🤠

Hello! My name is Isabella (Izzy) Martinez, and I live in Olathe, Kansas. I am so thankful, honored, and excited to be the 2027 Chanute Rodeo Queen, and cannot wait to share my love for the sport of rodeo throughout the year! I am currently a Senior at Olathe West High School. I have three horses named Royal, Ch*****ne, and Phoebe. Royal is my 14 y/o sorrel gelding that does mainly pleasure riding, Ch*****ne is my 8 y/o buckskin mare that is being seasoned in barrels, and Phoebe is my 12 y/o sorrel mare that I use for roping, pole bending, barrels, and queening! When I am not with my horse, I enjoy drawing or hanging out with my friends and family!

For a little fun fact about Creed and I, we have known each other since the summer of 2021 and have been hanging out and riding together since then!

While I take time to reflect on this past year the one word I can use for it all is thankful. Being the Chanute Rodeo Queen 2026 has made me into a better person. I had so many opportunities this past year from attending Equifest to having the opportunity to attend the Miss Rodeo Kansas clinic where I was awarded the horsemanship award. It has also given me a family. Everyone at the Chanute Bit and Spur Saddle Club welcomed me with open arms. I cannot thank everyone there enough for the kindness I received. One last thing I would like to leave you all with is to try new things. Do something you have been scared to try and always “Be Different”

👑🐴✨ Cori, Cedar & Hickory -- Saying goodbye to one title and stepping into a beautiful new chapter… ✨🐴👑

As I say goodbye to being the Chanute Rodeo Princess, I’m so thankful for all the memories, friendships, and experiences this season has given me.

I’ve loved spending time serving Chanute, spending time with my horse, making new friends, and having the opportunity to share my faith along the way. Most importantly, I’ve learned that a title is about so much more than a crown. It’s about serving others, showing kindness, encouraging people, and letting the light of Jesus shine wherever you go.

One thing I always say is:
“Kindness is the most beautiful quality of all.”

It is my prayer, that I have been able to truly exude this truth all along my royalty 2026 journey.

And my favorite Bible verse reminds me to keep believing and trusting God:
“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed… nothing will be impossible for you.” — Matthew 17:20

Now I’m excited to begin a new chapter as the Cross Trails Cowboy Ministry Bible Camp Queen!

I’m taking all the friendships, memories, lessons, and blessings from this chapter with me as I step into what God has next.

The crown may change, but my faith and purpose remain the same — to love others, serve Jesus, show kindness, and share His light wherever the trail leads. 💕🐴✨
