We are so pleased with the turnout and want to say our deepest thanks to everyone who came to the Legacy of the XIT roping! It’s was a memorable day!

We want to say a huge thank you to all of our sponsors. Without your generosity, none of this would have been possible. Thank you to Smith Ranches, H Ranch, Kirkland Feedyard, LIT Ranch, Durrett Ranches, Baca Ranch, Billy Morgan MMC Trucking, TX DOT, Channing Fire Dept., Hartley County Historical Commission, Saddle Mountain Cowboy Church, Mason Cook, Cactus Saddlery, Kory Holloway Diamond K Fencing, Larry Turner, Marion Turner, Preston Mead, Russell Brooks, Russell Gates, and Mozelle & Steve Shepherd.

Only 10 days until the first annual Legacy of the XIT!

The whole Channing community is pulling together to make it a memorable day for all, and to raise funds for the Channing Volunteer Fire Dept and other local organizations! Come enjoy the parade, festivities at the courthouse, Iron Man Roping, then end the day with BBQ and a live street dance. We’ve got some great buckles and prizes lined up for the roping. Don’t forget that this is a CASH ONLY roping and bring your own chair. Can’t wait to see you there!

Due to some Covid-related delays and triple digit temps in the forecast, we’ve decided to postpone the Legacy of the XIT Roundup. We’ve got some cooler Fall dates in mind, which will make it easier on our friends and animals. We will let everyone know as soon as we nail down a new date. Thank you for your support!
