I wish we could get a proper boxing game instead of these mid ass UFC games they keep releasing.

Follow your gut!

Not everyone around you moves like you. Some people sing your praises to your face and doubt you to every willing ear the second you leave the room.

The science backs this up: weak social ties carry mortality risk on par with major health conditions, and ambivalent relationships — the ones where you never know where you stand — are harder on your heart than relationships with people who dislike you outright. Your body knows before your mind admits it.

Audit the room. Protect the vessel. Stay whole.

I’m publishing my first hit piece on a business.

This one’s personal — it’s about my mother.

MINT Dentistry, South Holland: 4 different dentists in 8 months. A $3,308 denture that BCBS approved for $0.00. A denture that never fit right, in her words, her mouth felt “out of place.”

She couldn’t chew. She kept biting her jaw. She lost weight she never chose to lose.

When she asked them to fix it, they sent a certified letter and terminated her care. Called it a “breakdown in the relationship.”

Meanwhile her own insurance company was calling HER directly because the dental office wouldn’t answer anybody.

This is what elder abuse looks like in 2026. Full story up now — link in bio.

He didn’t fail at masculinity. He failed at manhood, and somewhere along the way, somebody handed him a vest instead of a mirror.

A badge. A quota. A gun. All the feeling of power, none of the work of becoming a man worth respecting.

That’s not strength. That’s a costume for men who never did the work.

“I don’t watch my words because I speak as a Free N***a. Not a bought one.”

And I meant every damn syllable of that.

There is a psychological condition this country installs in Black people early. Watch your tone. Choose your words. Be palatable. Be safe enough to survive the room.

That’s not freedom. That’s a performance. And every time you perform it, you confirm that your existence is conditional.

Conditional on approval.
Conditional on comfort.
Conditional on their permission.

Psychologists call it self-monitoring — the exhausting practice of scanning your own behavior in real time to manage how a dominant group perceives you. It isn’t just draining. It is identity erosion. Every time you shrink to fit a space that was never built for you, you chip away at the part of yourself that knows who you actually are.

That’s what bought looks like.

Free means I don’t recalibrate my nervous system to make you comfortable with my Blackness. I don’t sand my edges. I don’t lower my register. I say what I mean, in the voice I was given, with the full weight of everything I’ve survived and everything my ancestors made possible.

So here’s your invitation:

Stop editing yourself mid-sentence. Stop performing palatable for people who were never going to give you what you were shrinking for anyway.

Walk in like you paid for the building.

Because your people did.

In 2012 I told my Mormon colleagues that this country would elect a Black man before it elected a Mormon president.

They didn’t believe me.

Barack Obama proved it. Twice.

This week the Pentagon proved it with a memo.

The same people they voted for just took Jesus out of their church name on an official government document. And when the noise dies down — that $32 billion tax-free temple empire is exactly the kind of target a broke, grifting administration goes after next.

I told y’all. Link in bio.
