I'm looking for a few hardy musicians to perform some outdoor concerts within the next couple weeks.

If not, I get it. No need for nay-sayers in this post.
Many communities where bands perform have curtailed public gatherings. But, with a small group, we could maintain "social distancing" while sharing music outdoors with appreciative audiences. This is a "windows open" time of the year. Our music could be heard with people enjoying from a comfortable place. Kind of like those "flash mob" things you see on youtube but with a little more planning.
You will need to be flexible and portable.
You will need to bring your own music.
Repertoire would include:
Star Spangled Banner
An "easy" Sousa march (Washington Post?)
Instant Concert
God Bless America

There will likely not be any rehearsal; thus the need for familiar pieces. We gather, we play a set, we move on. We could do several locations in a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Thank you. I don't know about anyone else but this is something that I feel the need to do as a musician, I need to play. And for others, I believe we could all use a little music right now...

Looking for a band to get you through until next summer?

Consider the Chandler Gilbert Community College Concert Band:

This fall semester we moved into our brand-new performing arts rehearsal and classroom facility. It included band room, choir room, ensemble room, recording studio, piano lab, practice rooms, instrument lockers, classrooms, and dance floors. It has been magnificent!
Great band room, new music, new and old friends, and fun!
Don't forget, quality, musical performances...
Our first rehearsal will be on Wednesday, January 20th at 7 p.m.
Currently scheduled concerts are Wednesdays, February 17th and April 27th.
All band members must be registered for the class, and it is always easier if this is done prior to the first week of classes. Computer registration closes on Saturday, January 16th. For scholarship availability, please contact (Randy Wright, Conductor).
*Please ask about a specially priced non-credit version of the band for musicians who have been a part of our group for 3+ semesters.

To enroll in Chandler Summer Band, you will need the following:
- Your MEID (User ID) number
- Your Student ID number
- VISA card or similar

When you have your numbers ready, go to my.maricopa.edu
Select Student Center and Add a class.
Follow the instructions from there.
Class number: 18584
It's like the only summer class available right now.

Note:
if you enroll but do not pay,
your name will be dropped the following day.
