In a church, walls echoing with faith and song, A grandmother, her spirit wise and strong, Offers a child a peppermint, sweet and bright, A small token, a bond in the soft church light.

Years whirl by, the child now grown and tall, Returns the favor, in the church hall. With tender hands, a peppermint they present, To their grandmother, aged and bent.

A circle unbroken, through time it weaves, In the heart of the church, where everyone believes. A simple sweet, more than a treat, It's a legacy of love, ever so neat.
