I started playing with watercolors about 4 years ago when they were part of the summer program I was working at the school I was teaching in. I started with rainbow animals because I didn't have control of the medium yet, and that seemed easiest for a quick painting. I painted dozens of rainbow animals before expanding into still lifes. Last year, I moved into portraits (both pets and people).
