Whitney's Artwork Fluid acrylic artist passionate about painting! See my Etsy shop for my art for sale. No NFTs. This is my joy and each piece I make is a unique expression!!

I am a self-taught acrylic fluid artist - sharing my love of painting and the artwork I create! I love how this technique of painting is so freeing and allows creative intent along with "happy accidents" (thank you, Bob Ross!). I began painting in my youth, perhaps inherited some abilities from my grandmother (who was an amazing painter), and then started focusing on exploring and honing my skills

with fluid painting. I hope you will follow me on this painting journey!! Please visit my website for more information or my Etsy shop (etsy.com/shop/whitneysartwork) where you can view original canvas artwork or professional prints of my paintings for sale. Thank you!! ~Whitney

A little glimpse into the making of “Spring Etude No. 2.” 🌷✨

Soft pastels, gentle movement, and layers of fluid acrylic come together to bring the feeling of a spring floral bloom to life.

For me, painting is a place of peace. A place where I can slow down, breathe, and create something that brings a little joy to my heart. 🤍

I hope this painting offers you a moment to do the same.

Pause. Breathe. Rest. 🌿
Let the colors settle around you, and take a moment to simply experience a little beauty and joy.

Thank you for watching, friends. It means so much to share my creative process and this little piece of my heart with you. 💕🎨

Some paintings feel special from the very beginning. This was one of them. ❤️‍🔥

My lovely friend, Beth, commissioned this piece and gave me the most beautiful direction: deep reds and golds as the stars of the show, set against a split background with deep navy blue.

And then I got to do what I love most… follow the paint and see where it wanted to go.

Layer by layer, movement by movement, Sovereign Flame came to life.

And honestly? I am SO proud of this one. I completely love how it came together.

But the sweetest part of creating a commissioned piece is handing it over and wondering if the vision that lived in your head — and on your canvas — will resonate with the person who trusted you to create it.

She absolutely loves it. 🥹❤️

And now Sovereign Flame has its place in her stunning kitchen, where I hope it brings a little drama, warmth, movement and joy every single day.

✨ Featured in VoyageATL! ✨

I’m so excited to share that I was recently featured in VoyageATL in their Hidden Gems series. 🤍

Being able to reflect on my journey, the work I’ve built, the lessons I’ve learned, and the experiences that have shaped me as an artist was such a special opportunity.

There have been so many chapters along the way — some challenging, some unexpected, and all meaningful. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and grateful for the opportunity to share a little more of the story behind the work I do.

Thank you to for taking the time to spotlight my story and for creating space to celebrate entrepreneurs, creatives, and people building something meaningful in Atlanta. ✨

Sometimes you just have to paint BIG. 💙💚✨

This 3ftx4ft painting was a completely last-minute decision. I had these colors in mind and knew I wanted to create something huge with them… so I went for it.

A split base of white + phthalo blue, followed by layers of blues, greens, yellows, gold, bronze, and iridescent blue.

Then came the fun part — blowing out the design and watching all those colors move, blend, and reveal themselves. 🤯

Here’s a look at the painting wet → dry. And this is before varnish… which means those colors are going to get even richer, deeper, and more vibrant. ✨

I honestly love how fluid acrylics have a way of creating something you can’t completely plan. You start with an idea… and then the paint takes over.

I’m exploring a different direction. 🤍✨

This collection isn’t about adding more.

It’s about discovering how much can exist with fewer elements.

Every flow is intentional.
Every color has a role.
And the negative space isn’t empty—it’s part of the composition.

This is the first piece in the collection, and I’d love to know your first impression.

👇 One word only:
What does this painting make you feel?

Save this Reel if you enjoy watching fluid art, and follow along as the rest of the collection comes to life.

Got a case of the Monday blues? 💙

I decided to lean into them… and added even more blue. Then a little purple, a touch of silver, and suddenly the blues didn’t seem so bad. ✨

Sometimes all it takes is a little creativity to shift your mood. Which shade is your favorite? 🩵💙💜🩶

I almost didn’t trust this color palette…

This one started with a bright blue base and ended up taking me somewhere completely unexpected. I reached for colors I don’t usually use together—bright green, coral, and purple—and somehow they all found their place.

Would you have kept it… or painted over it? 💙💚💜🪸

ONE color changed everything.
Brown. Dark brown. White. Pewter. More brown…

And then… turquoise.

The second that color hit the canvas, the whole painting came alive.

Even though this is a chaos blowout, it isn’t random. Every layer is intentional, and knowing when to stop is just as important as knowing when to add more.

This piece is extra meaningful because I got to create it with my friend and incredible artist, We spent time talking creativity, sharing techniques from our different styles and mediums, and he even picked the color palette and style for this piece!

Art is always better when it’s shared. ❤️

Which color grabs your eye first?

I still can’t believe this moment. ✨

Walking into the reception, I saw “Prism” displayed on the easel and immediately knew something special had happened. I was so excited… and honestly a little shocked… to learn it had been awarded 2nd Place in the "Summer in the City" exhibit at the Cu***ng Arts Center! 🏆🎨

This exhibition was judged by an external judge from SCAD, which makes this recognition even more meaningful to me.

I’m truly humbled and honored that Prism connected with the judge in this way. Thank you to for hosting such a wonderful exhibit and congratulations to all of the talented artists who participated. I’m so grateful to be part of this creative community.

💙 Prism was one of three of my paintings selected for the exhibit, and this award is a moment I’ll always remember.

Sometimes peace doesn’t arrive all at once. Sometimes it starts with one brushstroke.

Watching thick texture cover a fluid painting reminds me that not every change has to erase what came before—it can build on it.

If today has felt heavy, I hope these few seconds give you a little space to breathe.

What’s one thing you’ve been carrying that you’re ready to set down today? 🤍
