"ZOO-TO-DO" 2016 was a most spectacular event and is now history! For the past 30 years of so, Luis Colmenares' art creations have been the artistic centerpiece of the event. Customarily he has created four animal theme'd art sculptures that stand over 10 feet tall from the waterline and another 4 feet below in the elephant pool.

In the group photo below with Luis Colmenares is Steve Dorand of the Audubon Studios Design & Exhibitry and special guests from Paris and Brussels, Alexandra Longet and Caroline Gimbol.

ROCKY & CARLO's You just can't get much more St. Bernard than "Rocky and Carlo's" Restaurant over on Old St. Berard Highway. Here we find "Bleudreaux" trying his paw at cooking up something good to eat. Artist Luis Colmenares created this beautiful poster to commemorate the restaurant's half-century of blessing the world with delicious food and close family atmosphere. It is said that there is a direct correlation between Art and pain which often manifests itself even under the best of circumstances. Luis's career as an artist has always been a reflection of that old saying. Here we find him less than a week after having rotor-cup surgery that required over 20 stitched to bind. We were pleased to learn that the quality of his art did not reflect the pain that Luis was obviously experiencing during his period of convalescing.
