Now on Exhibit at The Creamery Art Center ✨
I’m excited to share that three of my encaustic and fiber mixed-media sculptures are currently on exhibit at "With Every Fiber" exhibiton at The Creamery Art Center in Springfield, Missouri through August 28.
These pieces combine encaustic wax, fiber, found and textured materials to create sculptural works that explore nature, memory, and the beauty of things gathered and transformed.
The exhibition features so many creative and inspiring works by talented artists, making it well worth a visit! 🎨
If you’re in the area, stop by and enjoy the exhibition before it closes on August 28.

I am honored to have been selected as an Artist in Residence at the Missouri State Fair!
I’ll be at the Fair August 19–23, sharing my passion for encaustic art through demonstrations, conversation, and hands-on creative experiences. I’m excited for the opportunity to connect with fellow artists, fairgoers, and anyone curious about this unique medium.
I’m especially grateful for this opportunity to represent the arts and share the process behind my work with the Missouri community.
I hope you’ll stop by and say hello! 🎨✨

Aug 19-23: Cherie Peters – Encaustic Mixed Media Artists
Experience the fascinating world of encaustic (hot wax) painting and mixed media sculpture. Throughout the residency, visitors are invited to observe Cherie’s creative process as she transforms simple materials into layered works of art. Informational displays will explain the history and techniques of encaustic painting, while examples at various stages of completion will illustrate how each piece evolves. Visitors will also see examples of her artistic process, including wire armatures, unfinished panels, collage stages, encaustic medium applications and completed works. Questions are welcome and she encourages guests of all ages to stop by, watch the artwork develop, and learn how encaustic transforms ordinary materials into richly layered works of art.
