Centre Parks and Recreations

With the system currently in the Gulf expected to approach Alabama this weekend, our neighbors at Anglers Unlimited have made the difficult decision to cancel their free fishing rodeo for this Saturday, October 10, 2026.

We are grateful for the tremendous effort they put into planning this event and for their commitment to providing outdoor recreation and opportunities for the children in our community.

We look forward to seeing what Anglers Unlimited has planned for our community in the future!

We made an OOPs…and we want to own it.

Recently, we had a situation where we needed to move games from one night to another because of a school function. We sent the information out, but we didn’t follow up with all of our coaches to make sure everyone was on the same page.

That’s on us.

Our coaches are volunteers. They live the same hectic lives that we all do. They have families, jobs,responsibilities-and then they give their time to serve the kids and families in our community.

We owe it to them to over communicate.

Because of this mistake, we had to postpone two games last night.

But we’re going to use this as an opportunity to get better.

And to the soccer families who were affected last night- thank you. We couldn’t be more grateful for the way you supported us during this situation.

We’re not going to pretend that we’ll never make a mistake. But when we do, we will own it, learn from it, and get better.

Thank you for your understanding, and most of all, being part of our Centre Parks and Recreation family.

⚠️Please Pardon Our Progress⚠️

We’re making improvements to the parking lot at the Yarbrough Sports Complex, and we appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to make the facility better for our community!

For tonight’s soccer games, parents and other guest will be asked to use the upper parking lot.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation as we continue improving our facilities.

Thank you for helping us make Centre Parks and Recreation better!

We are grateful for Coaches Luke Sewell, Ricky Medlock and players of CCHS Soccer for evaluating our youth. Huge Thank you to the parents that get their children to our events. We know that’s not an easy task. This afternoon was a success. We will start forming teams tomorrow.
