Another little timelapse for you guys! This one features black swallowtail butterfly wings and forget-me-nots!

This piece ties to one of my favorite Paramore songs:

“Well, she lives in a fairy tale
Somewhere too far for us to find
Forgotten the taste and smell
Of a world that she’s left behind
“It’s all about the exposure, the lens”, I told her
The angles were all wrong now
She’s ripping wings off of butterflies
Keep your feet on the ground
When your head’s in the clouds”

A story of a girl, in my interpretation, who lives in a fantasy world, and harbors a lot of confusion. She’s ripping wings off of pretty things in her delirium. Forget me nots accompany the derailment, reminding her to not forget what really matters & find the truth.

This little guy is available to be tattooed! Flash is always tattooed at a lower rate than my custom pieces because it’s stuff I really want to do, and there’s no custom art involved! 👀

A timelapse of a painting I finished today ❤️ so happy to finally be getting the video recording and editing thing down so I can share my full process with you guys.

This one is about openness. It’s about the piercing feeling of having said too much; of having pierced the heart you wear on your sleeve. It’s about wanting to make yourself smaller and quieter to make everyone happy because you feel too much, say too much, express too much. Perhaps this piece is a reminder to not shrink ourselves or deny our hearts.

It’s joined by anemone flowers, which in the Victorian era, symbolized forsaken love. In my version, I’ve included a touch of Oregon by painting Oregon Anemone. It’s painted entirely with my handmade watercolors, collected from nearby regions.

I hope this resonates in some small way to those around me. This piece is available to be tattooed (colors and size adjustable!). Message or email me to claim before I feature it in my June 1 newsletter! This design is not repeatable.

🐦‍🔥Rising from the ashes!🐦‍🔥 I was so thrilled to get the opportunity to bring Jenn’s ideas to life & tattoo the phoenix silhouette they had fallen in love with… a bold watercolor piece representing rising from an old life to a new one, rebuilding after loss & standing in one’s strength.

It was so fun to create custom unique watercolor splashes that I made solely for this piece, so that Jenn can carry a completely personalized design. Working with these bright colors was such a treat.

Black is still healing; done in two 4-hr sessions!

A SUPER fun watercolor coho salmon! Quite fitting for someone who works in the field - tagging fish, researching and analyzing data associated with local salmon populations! How cool.

We made a silly, goofy little guy with a lil smile to bring a little whimsy into their everyday life. Thanks!

Got the amazing opportunity to do a carnivorous plant commission for the lovely .asklund in my tattoo style with my handmade watercolor paints.

This is how many of my designs and tattoos start, just a blank page and compositions swirling in my mind until they make their way to paper. A little behind-the-scenes moment 💕
