Sand Dollar cellist, Violet S., has only had a few lessons but listen to her play! She and Ellen, her teacher, sound so good together and we can’t wait to hear more!

Congratulations to Sand Dollar piano teacher Wes Tschirhart for completing the Foundational Piano Pedagogy course through The Frances Clark Center!

This course consisted of five modules (10 total hours) covering…

🎵Curriculum and lesson planning

We’re so proud of Wes for taking the initiative to complete this important step, and we’re excited to hear about his takeaways over the next few weeks!

Sometimes we end up with some super fun (and surprising) wildlife at the studio, from lizards to baby bunnies to THIS GUY who welcomed Mike on his way in to teach this evening’s lessons! 😍🐢

Hopefully he’s made it into the woods by now, but make sure to cross the parking lot slowly just in case he needs a little extra time!

One thing about Sand Dollar singer/pianist Ben O.: he’s gonna be making music wherever he is.

Many weeks away at camp, missing lessons? No problem. He started a band. 👏🎵🎸🎹

This is what we love to see: transferring the skills learned in lessons to real life.
Diving into a jam session with new friends and knowing what to do.
Making music a part of your everyday life rather than something you squeeze into the fringes.

Ben is showing us what it’s all about—how to take our music with us wherever we go, knowing that it’s a faithful, fun companion wherever we are. Well done, Ben!
