Phew! We’ve been so busy I haven’t been able to keep up. 😅

110% blessed beyond belief.

So recap from the last week;
Saturday we went to Tailspin Pet Resort & Daycare for their fall festival with Moose, the baby goats and Burrito the Bunny, while Jamie ALSO went to the Jefferson City Community Center for their Christian Unity Festival with some of our goats, sheep and bunnies.

Sunday we did Porchfest JCMO with JC Parks and had an absolute blast we charged a small fee to go IN with moose to visit him and take your photo, so we didn’t overwhelm him and people LOVED it. Catch us 10/18 from 1-4pm at the fairgrounds for their Farm Fest!

Monday we had a private visit where our visitor got to love on all the babies especially moose. And he didn’t complain one bit.

Tuesday was a “free” day, but very much still doing the things around the ranch.

Yesterday we went to EverTrue Lenoir Woods and these visits are honestly one of my top visits. The animals always make the residents so happy and it melts my heart and while we were there moose 100% STOLE a banana out of one residents walker basket 🫣🫠

Today we had MomCo JCMO - Jefferson City here for a Mommy & Me morning! They got to feed the baby goats, visit moose, dive into the corn pit and snuggle the bunnies. Oh, and pick out a mini pumpkin before they went home!

We still have a VERY busy weekend with a field trip tomorrow, a mobile pony birthday party Saturday and Sunday we have 2 private bookings AND A mobile Bunny visit. 🤯

We can’t say enough how blessed we are for the support of our farm and animals! This month and next month is a big push to bring you the animals, have you to the farm and other ways for us to earn enough funds to pay for the winter bills while we slow. So just know that every time you come and visit us at public places or come to the farm or hire us to bring out animals. You’re paying for our animals feed, hay, shelter and vet supplies. And we can’t thank you enough!

POV: Your Highland cow has a better social life than you do. 🐮😂

But can we talk about what actually goes into taking our animals on the road?

Today’s 90-minute visit looked a little something like this:

🐮 45 minutes getting animals cleaned up, loading the trailer, hooking up the truck, and packing supplies.

🚛 45-minute drive to the event.

🐰 90 minutes visiting residents and sharing our animals.

🚛 45-minute drive back to the ranch.

🧹 And then unloading animals, cleaning up, and putting everything away.

That’s nearly four hours before we even count the cleanup afterward!

But today was one of those visits that reminded me why we do what we do.

Moose got to roam around visiting residents, and we were able to bring some of our smaller animals directly to those who couldn’t make it to the fence.

And THAT is what I love about our business.

We’re not just showing up with a trailer full of animals and setting up a petting zoo.

We’re creating personal, hands-on animal experiences for people of all ages and abilities.

And sometimes that means taking the farm directly to someone who wouldn’t otherwise get to experience it. 🤎

That’s what Piles Ranch is all about.

Tag someone who needs a visit from our traveling barnyard! 🐮🐰

🐮 Parents, I need your input! 🐰

I know we all have WAY too many stuffies in our houses already. 😂 IYKYK.

BUT…if your little one was doing one of our Build-a-Farm-Animal experiences and got to choose their very own animal to stuff and take home, which size would you prefer?

We started with our 16” animals, and I LOVE them because they’re the perfect big, snuggly size. 🥹

But I’m contemplating switching to 8” animals instead. They’re still super cute, easier for little hands to carry around, and the same size as the pre-stuffed animals we already offer.

So help me decide!

🐮 16” — Keep them BIG & snuggly!
🐰 8” — Smaller is better!

If you were buying one for your kiddo, which would you choose?

Bonus points if you tell me why in the comments because I am WAY too indecisive about this. 😂
