A Native American woman has never been a governor or a U.S. senator.

That could change this year if Deb Haaland wins the governor’s race in New Mexico, and if either former congresswoman Mary Peltola or Minnesota Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan win a Senate seat. https://wapo.st/4hDjKpR

Headed to 6 Nations today for crafty supplies!

Why buy from Amazon and Temu when you can support indigenous business? Bezos has enough zhooniyaa (money)!

Plus we got real specific stuff we need that usually need to be bought in person. Specific fabric, feathers, materials, etc. If you ever need specific supplies, support indigenous businesses! There's a ton of them (online) that offer crafty supplies but 6 is drivable, so we happily do it.

The bonus is we get to hang out together without worrying about vendor s**t. Originally the plan this weekend was to hit Gun Lake powwow in West Michigan but plans change.

Oh and its 7/11 day! Grab yourself a free slurpee if you're stateside!

Please enjoy this random photo for the Algorithm. This is a mural on the side of Full Measure Brewing in downtown Detroit near Eastern Market. Awesome breakfast (that we didnt get today):
