That Room

Take my hand,
let’s walk
into a dream.

That day of life
comes back.
As we walk
the pier of time,
every wave
remembered.

What you asked
and my replies.
So long ago.
The sounds of
seabirds flying,
other ghosts.

You seemed
a pillar, certain
in my hand.
A time of us,
to live,
to share.

To come
back to.

Dark Visitors

As the evening
settles on the land,
there is a time
the dark moths
come to feed
and play.

They prefer
a flight in
afterglow.
No stray beam
highlights
their show.

Among the Lilies
and the Trumpets,
quiet as a whisper.
Should one
touch your cheek,
a bliss.

Restless Days

I love to catch
the sandy stretch,
in the midst
of change.
A canvas for
the sea’s explore.
Each grain
new place to be.

From my perch
above its work
I see the waves,
the artist’s hands
create for me.
Gallery of change
where wind and tide
conspire to see.

In My Mind

It seemed
some days
I walked into
a dream.
A foggy morn
held daylight
in its grasp.
Shadows
yet to rise.

I remember
seconds
in a year.
Reminders
or just ghosts.
Was and
could have been,
talking to themselves.

Still, feel
the road
beneath my
bare feet,
and later
well worn
leather.
The sounds
of morning birds.

In Vague

To isolate,
by feeding ego.
False comfort
in a lie
of never
good enough.
Sketches, holds
installed for
easy handling.
Not to know
but fear.

Seeing Through

They’d hoped
to see today.
Great plans
whispered on the
winds of change.
Still she hears.

Days of
flash and drag,
words slip by.
A wonder how
what it seems
could be.

How it could lead
to what the
words of yore
had promised
as pieces, bits
flash by.

Through tears
and misty days
she holds
a thin smile
to greet
the future.

Tracks

I love
chasing shadows.
Bloodlines running
back and forth
through time,
hiding in the forest
known as
left behind.

Bright spots,
peeking through.
Feelings ghosting,
suggesting just
enough to leave
a story in the
quiet stones
and ashes.

As years go by
and wishes
try define.
Some truths
remain to find.
Sifting through
the stories in
the wind songs.

Seemed a Reason

Didn’t know
how he got there.
Even where
he was.

It was grey,
rocks and sand.
Pebbly underfoot,
very quiet.

Ahead the land
faded off to
hills or dunes,
he couldn’t tell.

Two flags rose
from his pack.
They’d no blazon,
just the grey.

An overcast sky
left no directions.
As he walked,
left no trail.

Sometimes
almost colors
came and went,
taunting.

No implications,
nor demands.
Not a dove or mouse.
He walked on.

Chapters

Throughout history,
people, great or not
always fall behind.
It’s the feelings
left by words that
goes on.

What is remembered
tales told, retold.
All molded by what
the future needs.
Songs ears seek.
In quest of comfort.

Neither tellers
nor listeners
from the past
would recognize
their own words.
Theirs or others.

But, the feelings
carry on, sculptors
that change with
each new dawn.
Stories all live
by ears of need.
