‘The Comedy of Errors’ is seriously one joke — and we’re going to play it over and over and over again until your smile hurts. Think clown, commedia, and Looney Tunes meets Shakespeare and you’re on the right track.
We’ve got a killer creative team which we’ll announce later this week!

🎭Huzzah — a most exciting announcement!

You may have spotted this familiar face at our workshops and auditions this year. Now it’s time to make it official.

Shannon Altner has joined our leadership team as Associate Artistic Director — and we couldn’t be more thrilled.

Shannon is a founding member of Shakespeare in the Wild. She’s been here from the very beginning — acting in our first two productions and serving as Marketing Manager since day one. Her dedication to this work and mission has made her an integral part of everything we do, and we’re so proud to see her step into this new role alongside Leigh Miller as we head into our 5th season. 

To new titles, new chapters, and the same beloved Shannon! 👑

Thank you to Nick Trotter and all of our clowning participants! We had our first sold out workshop and what a success it was. Red noses not pictured 🤡

This group of humans showed up ready to learn, get into their bodies, and support one another as we stepped into exercises that activated us physically and emotionally.

Our other workshops are sold out, with the exception of our monologue workshop, which has only two spots left!

Shakespeare in the Wild is looking for a Technical Director for Season 5 🌲

If you’re a hands-on, self-motivated theater tech who loves building stages and solving problems in unique spaces, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities include:
🔧 Transporting set pieces from nearby storage
🎪 Coordinating and assisting with outdoor stage load-in & load-out
🏠 Building and assembling indoor stage platforms, hanging curtains, and finishing touches
🤝 Working alongside the company during all major transitions

Our countdown to Colorado Gives Day (Dec 9th!) continues — and today we’re celebrating the amazing humans we’ve had the honor of performing FREE Shakespeare for over the years. 💚✨

From starting as a ragtag group of professional actors with a dream in 2022… to now serving thousands every summer — we’re humbled by how word of mouth has carried us, and how you continue to show up (with more friends each time!). 🫶

And with that momentum… Season Five is shaping up to be our biggest year yet! That means: more porta potties 🚽, better sound 🔊, and even more magic as we bring another year of FREE Shakespeare to the public.
