These “Burger” Macaron Whoopie Pies are one of those desserts that look ridiculously realistic from far away .They seriously look like tiny cheeseburgers sitting on a dessert tray.
Start by laying half of the Nilla Wafers flat-side up to create the bottom burger buns.
Pipe a zig-zag of Betty Crocker Red Decorating Icing and Yellow Decorating Icing onto each wafer so it looks like ketchup and mustard dripping over the “burger”
Take the green Fruit Roll-Ups and tear them into little ruffled circles so they resemble curly lettuce leaves. Lay them right over the icing.
Next, place 1 Keebler Fudge Stripes cookie upside-down on top of the “lettuce” with the chocolate-striped side facing up. It looks surprisingly close to a grilled burger patty with grill marks
Top each one with another Nilla Wafer to finish the mini burger shape.
To make the illusion even crazier, dab the top wafer with the tiniest bit of honey and sprinkle real sesame seeds over the top so it looks exactly like a sesame seed burger bun
The final result is crunchy vanilla wafers, chocolate cookies, fruity candy “lettuce,” and sweet icing all layered into tiny dessert burgers that people will absolutely mistake for real sliders at first glance
