CEDARHURST TO COMMEMORATE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF SEPTEMBER 11TH WITH COMMUNITY MEMORIAL CEREMONY

Village of Cedarhurst to Honor September 11th Victims and First Responders

As the 25th anniversary of September 11th approaches, the Village of Cedarhurst solemnly gathers to remember and honor the lives lost on that tragic morning, especially the seven victims from our community: Kevin O’Rourke, Thomas E. Jurgens, Neil D. Levin, Joseph Rivelli, Jr., Ira Zaslow, Bettina Browne Radburn, and Howard Selwyn.

We invite residents and members of the community to join us on Friday, September 11th, at 11:00 AM at Andrew J. Parise Park in Cedarhurst for a solemn remembrance ceremony.

Together, we will pay tribute to those we lost, honor the courage and sacrifice of our first responders, and recognize the enduring strength and resilience of the families and loved ones they left behind.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember. We continue to honor them. And we continue to stand together as one community.

Please join us as we gather in solidarity, reflection, and remembrance.

What an amazing turnout at Al Levy's Cedarhurst Car Show in Andrew J. Parise Park. A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made the day so special! From the incredible cars to the great crowd, and to Al Levy himself, for all his hard work in organizing and planning this fabulous show. We had an absolute blast!

The Village of Cedarhurst will hold its car show at Andrew J.
Parise Park, showcasing classic cars, hot rods, and trucks for residents. The Car Show will take place on Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm with free admission.
The event features over 100 restored vehicles and trophies awarded across multiple categories, bringing the community together for a family-friendly afternoon.
The car show has become a cherished tradition in Cedarhurst, reflecting the village's motto of being "A great place in which to live, work and play." Mayor Benjamin Weinstock noted the event helps keep residents engaged and connected. Attendees can view antique models, muscle cars, and modern vehicles displayed against the park's greenery.
Andrew J. Parise Park also hosts the village's summer concert series and memorial ceremonies throughout the year.

Peat Moss and the Fertilizers had everyone singing and dancing all night! The evening kicked off with an exciting martial arts demonstration from Warren Levi Martial Arts & Fitness.
