Hundreds of enthusiastic basketball fans filled Andrew J. Parise Park on Wednesday evening to witness what many are calling one of the greatest comebacks in sports history.

Hosted by the Village of Cedarhurst and the Merchants of Cedarhurst, the Village watch party brought everyone together to cheer on the Knicks as they faced the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. Fans dressed in blue and orange packed the park with chairs and blankets, creating an electric atmosphere as the game unfolded on the big screen.

Did you know? Legendary Knicks head coach Red Holzman, who won 613 games and who led New York to its 1970 and 1973 NBA Championship, lived in Cedarhurst for more than 40 years. In 2000, a street clock was dedicated in his honor at the intersection of Central Avenue and Cedarhurst Avenue, celebrating his lasting connection to our community.
