🥒 Happy International Cucumber Day from the Ozaukee County Fair! 🥒

Today we're celebrating one of the most versatile vegetables in the garden—the cucumber!

Easy to grow and packed with possibilities, cucumbers are delicious sliced into salads, paired with your favorite dip, infused into refreshing cucumber water, or transformed into everyone's favorite pickle. Beyond the kitchen, cucumbers are also known for helping reduce eye puffiness, soothe irritation, and even provide cooling relief for sunburned skin.

Do you grow cucumbers at home? Show off your gardening skills by entering your homegrown cucumbers at the 2026 Ozaukee County Fair! Whether you're a seasoned gardener or trying your hand at growing vegetables for the first time, we'd love to see your best entries on display.

Happy National Jerky Day from the Ozaukee County Fair!

Do you make homemade jerky that's worthy of a blue ribbon?

National Jerky Day is the perfect time to remind everyone that Dehydrated Meat (Jerky) is a NEW category in the Open Class Food Preservation Department at the 2026 Ozaukee County Fair! And it's not just jerky—there are also classes for dehydrated fruits and dehydrated vegetables, giving food preservation enthusiasts even more opportunities to showcase their talents.

Whether you're perfecting a family jerky recipe, preserving your garden harvest, or experimenting with new flavors, we'd love to see your entries at the Fair!
