I saw a felting kit for $2.99 at Ollie’s and bought it and made it. The wool is very hard to work with but I liked the felting needle(it’s probably a 36ga) and tiny felting foam. It also came with embroidery thread and an embroidery needle. It’s not something I’d recommend,especially for a beginner, but it’s not a waste of money either.

I’m excited to announce that registration is open for my Introduction to Needle Felting series at Rangeline Community Center in Mequon, Wednesdays, September 16, 23, 30. This is step by step building skills needed for doing wool sculptures. The first class is learning shapes to make the fox, the second class is the swan with a simple armature and the last class is the big finish Toucan. The classes can be taken individually as well. You can sign up by calling 262-238-7535.
