What looks like simple play is actually something really meaningful... 🥹
When animals play, it often means they feel safe enough to do so. A chronically stressed animal usually doesn’t wrestle, splash, chase, explore, or act goofy. They tend to shut down, guard themselves, or pace.
So when rescued bears play like this, it says a lot about the life they have now compared to what they came from.
There’s also something powerful about watching them as humans. Moments like this remind us that bears are not just symbols or spectacles. They are intelligent, emotional creatures capable of comfort, curiosity, trust, and even silliness.
Sometimes seeing that connection up close is what inspires people to care more deeply for wildlife and become future stewards of animals and nature.
You can see these playful bears in person this season at Deer Tracks Adventure Park.
Opening day is May 22nd. 🐻
