Uptown Friday Nights

Uptown Friday Nights Uptown Friday Nights is an 8-week outdoor concert series organized by the Cedar Rapids Jaycees. Sin It's where your weekend begins!

Every Friday night starting Memorial Day Weekend, the Cedar Rapids Jaycees host Uptown Friday Nights. The event runs from 5:30 PM-10PM at the McGrath Amphitheatre (Downtown Cedar Rapids on the river) . It's a place to gather with your friends after a long week at work, relax and enjoy some great music by regional bands. Admission is $5/person or you can purchase your tickets on line ahead of time

or you can purchase a season pass for $35 and see all 9 shows

PLEASE NOTE: Since alcohol is sold at this venue, you must be 21 years or older to attend this event. All attendees must bring a photo ID.

UPDATE ‼️ 🌩️Tonight's Rock the Block has unfortunately been postponed due to potential inclement weather.

However, we've got exciting news: Molly Nova & The Hawks will be making a grand return to the Market in just a few months as our headliners for Women's Arts Festival 2023! Stay tuned for more info on the complete lineup.

The Market is still open this evening, so if you're looking for Friday night plans, put your rain boots on and swing by to grab a bite to eat, enjoy a refreshing drink from NewBo Beer & Wine, and do some evening shopping!

The Cedar Rapids Jaycees are sad to announce the discontinuation of Uptown Friday Nights. Due to COVID-19 causing financial hardships and a large dip in membership, we no longer have the resources to put on the shows. We are so thankful for the community jamming with us all these years and look forward to our new projects that will continue to support the Cedar Rapids area.
