After a break in the rainfall for much of today, we will see the chance for storms again this evening/tonight. There will be a low-end severe threat, with isolated severe winds and heavy rainfall being the main threats.

[8/14/2026 8:15 PM] Light rain showers are currently moving in from the west and are forecasted to increase in coverage and intensity, especially south of Highway 30, mainly after 10 PM tonight and last into the early morning hours. Primary hazards with these storms will be heavy rainfall and lightning, but isolated damaging winds cannot be ruled out south of I-80.

Heavy rain producing storms will continue to expand through 10 AM, particularly south of U.S. Highway 20. The main focus will be on periods of very heavy rainfall that could lead to flash flooding, especially for areas that see repeated rounds of storms. Gusty winds are also possible for areas along and south of U.S. Highway 34.

An active night ahead for much of the area is expected tonight, with increasing areas of showers and storms. Ongoing storms will continue over the next few hours for areas north of Highway 30, with more activity expected to develop overnight along and south of I-80. While the severe weather threat is low tonight, the main focus will be on periods of heavy rainfall that could lead to flash flooding, especially for areas that see repeated rounds of storms.
