Unfortunately, The Keg has decided to pause karaoke until spring. This decision has likely come about because the attendance of the show is too inconsistent. I do appreciate those of you that have made the effort to come out and support our events. I know there are a variety of factors playing out to make your decisions on where to go, and I’m not asking you to compromise your priorities for me. That being said, without you there is no me. Keep that in mind. I will always be doing this, but it won’t be here.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: YES or NO

For the last 6 years we've organized, promoted, and hosted this very special event for our followers to join us for two days of socially bonding activities, good times, and great memories. I'm so happy to say we've definitely made some great memories every year, regardless of how many guests attended. However, the numbers of people within our circle that have attended our previous Summer Slam events have been drastically reduced. Which leads me to wonder if anyone would even be interested in this type of event going forward?

Now that I have a regular every Friday night with Karaoke at The Shack, I would have to contract someone to host that show for me in order to make the arrangements and host our Summer Slam duties. Which I am willing to do, but only if I have the level of interest to make it worth the time, effort, and cost to making it happen.

For those of you that don't know what I am talking about. We started doing this event as a fan appreciation outing to build a stronger more meaningful relationship with our closest most engaged fans that enjoy camping and how we run out karaoke shows! It's two days filled with activities like kayaking, fun games, and getting to know more about each other outside of just a regular show. We have a unique relationship with a campground in Monticello that allows us to pretty much do what we want so long as it's done within reason, and we respect the campers outside of our group. A majority of those events did have several handfuls of sites that had no idea we were going to be doing anything, and could have potentially had a problem with our entertainment disrupting their weekend, but thankfully I we have not received any kind of feedback like that. We end the weekend with late night movie, and savor the connections we've built together. Nights like those are very special to me, because my circle is very small as it is, and to find a group of people I can share those passions and interests withI hold dear. After we stopped doing shows at Coz that circle seemed to almost disappear. So, this year I'm on the fence of whether or not to do this event as intended, or abandon the event all together.

If you are interested in attending this kind of event, I need you to comment below with YES or NO. Please give a little context to the reason you are interested our Summer Slam experience. If you've attended in the past, let me know if you would plan to attend in the future? If you are a previous attendee, but have decided not to attend, please let me know what would change your mind about the event to make it better? I'm just trying to determine what is going to be best for me to plan things out appropriately.

Thank you for your continued support and hope to see you soon!

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17ja1397pS/ - It's Dolly's birthday, and I can't believe how she doesn't seem to age at all! But I can't help but think that in a morbid twist of fate how ironic would it be if she didn't make it past 95?

Dolly Parton is celebrating her 80th birthday today! ❀️

Dolly Rebecca Parton was born on January 19, 1946. She was the fourth of her parents' 12 children. Her parents were so poor, they had to pay the doctor who delivered Dolly with a sack of cornmeal.

Now, 80 years later, Dolly is widely beloved and respected for her work as a singer, songwriter, actress, businesswoman, and philanthropist. Plus, she has a namesake theme park, Dollywood.

Happy birthday Dolly! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‚πŸŽ‚
