History was made at BHS International.
History rang last night.
Congratulations to the incredible on becoming the 2026 Barbershop Harmony Society International Quartet Champions and the first treble voice quartet to earn the title of BHS International Quartet Champs. 🩷💜🎶
And as if that wasn’t enough, they achieved a perfect 100 in Performance on “Mothers and Daughters,” a song arranged by the brilliant Melody Hine. Women creating art, telling stories, and making history together. There’s something beautiful about that harmony.
We’re also celebrating another milestone: congratulations to Sunday Night Social on becoming the first mixed voice quartet to medal at International, bringing home a fifth-place bronze medal. More history. More doors opening. More people seeing themselves reflected on the International stage.
This moment is bigger than a score sheet. It’s a reminder that barbershop keeps growing, keeps opening doors, and keeps becoming more fully itself when every voice is welcomed, celebrated, and given the space to shine.
To GQ and Sunday Night Social: thank you for your artistry, your vulnerability, and your joy. Thank you for showing all of us what is possible.
The world of barbershop is a little brighter today. And somewhere, countless singers are looking at that stage and seeing themselves in it for the very first time.
