Our home needs help.
**EMERGENCY HELP NEEDED**
Mirrorbox Theatre needs $30,000 by November 1st or the theatre will be forced to close.
When a common cause unites a community – the audiences, the artists, the supporters – that’s the only way theatre can exist. Right now, the existence of Mirrorbox depends on that same community.
Your support made it possible to open a brand-new home for daring performances on the city’s NW side. Your support made it possible for Cedar Rapids to be the place a Tony-nominee opened her latest world premiere production, along with over 200 additional performances since our doors opened in November 2022.
Last year, another award-winning playwright wrote, “Mirrorbox is destined to be recognized and celebrated as one of the country’s most important regional theatres, up with the likes of Steppenwolf, or Oregon Shakes, or Louisville.”
Without your support, that vision ends, the vision for how one city in Iowa can make a massive impact on the arts in our country.
Our community needs the new art that Mirrorbox provides – art that inspires, challenges, and nourishes us. And Mirrorbox urgently needs the support of our community in order to stay open.
