Congrats to Gina for entering my Art Show newsletter signup and winning my giveaway drawing for a free Glossy 10”x15” matted print of ‘Nature’s Backbone’! Everyone else who signed up be sure to ck your email for your surprise discount code! Backbone trail is named for its narrow spine of rock formation carved by the Maquoketa River in Iowa. Hiking the trail takes you through old twisted cedars with cliffs on both sides. I was on a mission one day to photograph nature images for wall decor in a Chiropractor’s office. He grew up near Backbone Park and has probably hiked every inch of these trails. I found this one unique perspective with my drone camera where the trail was visible through the trees. I was so excited to see from the aerial view the trail looks just like a spine image diagram! I knew this was the image for a mission accomplished!
