Who says two year olds can’t spray paint?! This was our third year providing an installation for the Create & Explore Spaces and (disappointedly but not surprisingly) the first year we’ve posted about it!!

For the last three years, this event has taken our programming outside our events and into a festival environment that has been such a joy to experience. It has allowed us to influence the younger generation & make art accessible, two things that are very important to us.

How do you know you have a talent for or are passionate about something until you try it?! MAF has helped us create space for art exploration & the opportunity to try new mediums!!

P.S. If you didn’t know, our first year at this event we built a 5 foot tall 2, 3 and 7 out of recycled cardboard!! (pictured last)🖤

237 FASHION MONTH RECAP🌟🪩❤️‍🔥🚶🏽The energy we shared in these spaces together was unforgettable and a true gift. Thank you for showing up with so much love for local designers and selling out all three of our shows!!!😭

Our sustainable fashion scene is leveling up and we could all feel it this month!!

Two group shows, one solo show, 16 featured designers, and 113 handmade looks. Wow.

One more huge thank you to the designers for sharing the runway with us and creating such impressive collections. Your work deserves all the love in the world.

Thank you to our models for bringing all the life, love and movement to the art and owning the runway with such a force.👏🏼

All of our photographers absolutely killed it — thank you for helping document these memories, you are providing the archives for something foundational.

We heard from so many incredible community members today! We talked about fat liberation, sizing myths, reclaiming femininity, mixing silhouettes & styles, unpacking shame around clothing and so much more.

We wrapped up our series of runway shows on Saturday with Edify!!🌟 These designers are taking our fashion scene to the next level with pieces made thoughtfully, intentionally and their work demanded attention. ⬆️❤️‍🔥🪜

The nine collections featured in this show were powerful and so worth celebrating.

Thank you so much to our featured designers and the models who bring movement and life to the runway.🫶🏼🫶🏼

Thank you to the audience who stood for the entire model flood — something we’ve never seen before at our shows. Y’all are the integral piece to our flourishing fashion and arts scene.🫂🌟

As we reflect on the magic from yesterdays runway show and our month of fashion together, we look towards our finale — these two panels. 🫶🏼

Fatter, Hotter, Wiser & Q***r Threads are two fashion panels happening in our space a week from today hosted by .elaine 🌟🏠

Panels are an integral part of building community — to listen, get educated & hear perspectives from experts on topics is such a special way to connect and gather.

We’re so excited to hear from local designers, community members and fashion icons in our area about plus-size and gender non-conforming fashion & so much more.
