Maryška has arrived at the Czech Heritage Museum and Genealogy Center in Temple, Texas, and is now being installed ⚒

🎉 The exhibition opening will take place on July 31 featuring one of the museum volunteers who grew up in Moravia. We can't wait to share the photos with you!

Accompanied by Retta Slavik Chandler, the President of Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center Inc (TCHCC), Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Washington, DC Jan Woska visited our exhibition 👋

💬 "I really liked it. Today, there are not many projects that present our folklore traditions and their importance and significance in an entertaining and graphically very attractive way, not only for people living in the Czech Republic but especially for those who stick to them despite their connection to other countries with different history and culture. At TCHCC, the exhibition perfectly tops up their permanent exhibition and contributes to the unique celebration of our roots and traditions that the museum in La Grange offers.

Maryška has arrived safe and sound to her new home in Dallas, Texas 😍
From the new month onwards, 21 panels describing the life in South Moravia in the past century will be on view at Sokol Dallas Gymnastics 👀 thanks to the cooperation with Vaclav Havel Czech School of Dallas / Česká škola Václava Havla 🤝

We are grateful to all who have been participating in the creation of our exhibit 🙏 One of these precious people is Martina Mrázová, an owner of TISK Pálka, a printing service in Břeclav where they prepared all the exhibit panels for the long journey over the Atlantic ✈️

Martina is our friend, philanthropist, and supporter of Moravian folklore ❤️ So we wanted others to get to know her better and conducted an interview where she shares her love for Moravia and the principles she follows in order to have a successful family business ✌️

"Moravian Glory: Preserving our Brilliance was an outstanding exhibit at the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The rich culture and traditions of the Moravian people were brought out in this educational exhibit for all generations. The history, the traditions, and the stories provided for in this exhibit inspired the over 1 000 people who visited the exhibition over the past four months.
As the exhibit came down, I was saddened to see it no longer. Each day that I would walk past it, I was inspired and my love and passion for our culture were strengthened. I know now that as a traveling exhibit it will continue to inspire others throughout the United States."
