I have soooo many great memories of The Rapids! I love the time when we all linked arms and fanned ourselves with personal fans like a bride and groom drinking champagne at a wedding. Second place has to be the chicken shows!
Being involved in multiple seasons really let me develop my version of all the characters. I got to play each one of them at one time or another, and that was phenomenal. Playing the character that you feel the least affinity for is always the one that makes you grow as an improviser.
I have two favorite characters: Marty Sinclair and Chris Cameron. Marty is such a joy to play because you can really lampoon the 1%. Chris is fun for me because in my mind, Chris is always a guy. So, I play Chris that way in my brain, but the audience sees me as a woman. It’s just a really fun gender mashup for me. And who's to say what's "male" and "female"?
You should see the series finale because it’s going to be fantastic! The five characters you’ve been following all along are finally going to…🤷🏻♀️.
