Join us and the rest of the School of Music this Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. for our annual Scholarship Benefit Concert in the Great Hall of Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center. 🎼🎶

We have a great selection of music lined up for the upcoming concert with works from Bergman, Ungar and Washington, and Gounod.

This concert is one we look forward to every year and we can’t wait to see you all there!

Hello everyone! We're the Northern Iowa Symphony Orchestra, an ensemble on campus at UNI directed by Dr. Erik Rohde.

We are really excited to reintroduce ourselves to our online community and to show you all what we've been working on the past few years.

Happy birthday (yesterday) to Germaine Tailleferre!! Come hear her amazing, wild concerto for two pianos, big orchestra, saxophones and chorus tonight at 7:30 in the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center! Thanks to the UNI Choirs and UNI School of Music for so many collaborative efforts to put this performance together!

Germaine Tailleferre was the only female member of "Les Six," a famous group of composers working in France between the two world wars.

Congratulations to all six performers at last night's Instrumental Concerto Competition final round. We are pleased to announce the winner of last night's competition was Emily Paul (center), who will perform the Frank Martin "Ballade for Flute and Orchestra" with the Northern Iowa Symphony Orchestra on Thursday, April 20, 2023. Honorable Mentions were also awarded to Aubrey Williamson, flute (left), and Alayna Ringsby, clarinet (right). Thanks to everyone involved for making this such a wonderful event!
